1. A tour was arranged for the students of B.A. Marathi to Bhilar a village of Books. And Mahabaleshwar. Tour was useful for the students, which was arranged on 1th January 2018.
2. 2. On the eve of Marathi Bhasha Gourav Din department arranged a Wall Magazine Presentation and inaugurated by the Cultural Artist Shri. Shashikant Lavnis, on 2th February 2018
3. 3. A Book by Shaym Manohar by name Shityuddha Sadanand is prescribed for B.A.II also it is filmed by name Limited Manuski. The department showed the said film on 1th July 2018
4. 4. In the beginning of the first term the department arranged Wall Magazine students were participated with their poetry on rain. And Second Wall Magazine was also inaugurated on the same day on the well-known rain poetry of Marathi poets. This program was inaugurated by international artist Shri. Bhagwan Rampure on th August 2018.
5. 5. The department presented a documentary on Ranatlya Kavita by N.D. Mahanor prescribed for B.A.II on 11th August 2018
6. 6. Natsamrat drama written by V.V.Shirvadkar was presented for the students of th September 2018
7. 7. On the eve of Marathi Bhasha Sanvardhan Pandharwada was inaugurated by well-known Editor Shri Abhay Divanji, Daily Sakal, Solapur on th January 2019.
1.8. Rajya Marathi Vikas Sanstha , Gov. of Maharashtra , Mumbai jointly organized Marathi Wikipedia : State level Workshop on Friday, 22 Feb. 2019. Mr. Suresh Khole and Mr. Rohit Walimbe guided to participant.57 candidates participated in workshop.

Marathi Bhasha Sanvardhan Pandharwada
The Marathi Bhasha Sanvardhan Pandharwada was celebrated jointly by the Marathi Department of Sangameshwar College and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. Mr. Amol Ankulkar, Deputy Editor, Dainik Divya Marathi, Solapur was the speaker at the event which was held on 14th January, 2020. The issue 'Madhyam Vidya' was released at the hands of dignitaries at this event. Expressing the importance of Marathi language, Mr. Amol Ankulkar elaborated on the idea of promotion of 'MyBoli' in many ways.
Library visit
On January 2020, a library visit was organized for the students of Marathi department to gain knowledge and awareness about the usefulness of the library. Under this initiative, the students were given information about the various books in the library and its application. 21 students spontaneously participated in this activity.
Marathi Bhasha Gourav Din
On 27th February 2020, on the occasion of Marathi Bhasha Gourav Din, the Marathi Department, in collaboration with Suvidya Prakashan at Solapur, organized an exhibition and sale of books. Mr. Baburao Mandargikar, Director, Suvidya Prakashan was present on the occasion.
February 27 is the memorial day of Karmayogi Appasaheb Kadadi, the founder of Shri Sangameshwar Education Society and the birthday of poet Kusumagraj. On this occasion, Karmayogi Appasaheb Kadadi and poet Kusumagraj were honored at the event. In this ceremony, Prof. Suhas Pujari, Head of Marathi Department, presented the idea of promotion of Marathi language and explained the importance of the work of Karmayogi Appasaheb Kadadi and poet Kusumagraj.
Educational trip
Department of Marathi arranged educational trip to Vijaypur, Banashankari, Badami, Pattadakallu, Almatti gardan in the state of Karnataka. 14 students from Department of Marathi participated in this trip. Students of Hindi, History, Sociology also participated in this trip.
Inaugural Ceremony 2020-21
Kovid's pandemic condition delayed the start of the academic year this year. As a result, the opening ceremony was also held in the last week of November. For the inaugural ceremony held on Monday, November 30, 2020. Prof.Dr. Somnath Komarpant (Retired Professor and Head of Department, Marathi, University of Goa) was invited. He inaugurated the New Year Ceremony of Marathi department : Marathi literary association and presented his views on the topic of 'Reading, Reading Culture and Writing' (वाचन, वाचनसंस्कृती आणि लेखनसाधना). The event was organized with the help of Google Meet.
